*Access*
From the Verrès motorway exit, go up the Val d'Ayas (SR45) for about 17 km to Brusson. From here continue until you reach the parking lots of the artificial lake, visible on the left, where the path n. 5 begins.
*Description of the route*
This path of great historical and naturalistic interest starts from the car parks of Brusson Lake. After crossing the wooden bridge, the first 300 m., you arrive upstream the locality Creste, crossing centuries-old coniferous woods up to the fountain of Napoleon, where legend tells that the leader had stopped to rest. From here you reach the Col di Joux and follow the Ru Courtod northwards until you descend to Extrepieraz. Possibility of hooking up to the routes n. 1-2-3- and 6.
