Mezzalama Trophy
The Mezzalama Trophy, one of the most iconic ski mountaineering competitions in the world, takes place every two years on the Monte Rosa massif, from Cervinia to Gressoney-La-Trinité, over a 45 km route with a total elevation gain of over 6.000 meters. Founded in 1933 in honor of Ottorino Mezzalama, it became part of the international La Grande Course circuit in 2010. The race tackles spectacular sections above 4.000 meters, such as the Breithorn, Castor, and Naso del Lyskamm. Starting in 2025, teams will consist of two athletes to improve safety and efficiency, adapting to environmental challenges. The Mezzalama Trophy attracts athletes and spectators from around the world, who can experience the thrill of the race thanks to the Cervinia and Monterosa Ski lifts.
FWT Challenger
For freeride enthusiasts, the FWT Challenger represents an unmissable opportunity. Another adventure not to be missed is the MonterosaSkiAlp, a night-time ski mountaineering race that combines technique and adrenaline. With a course of over 30 km and an elevation gain of 2,800 meters, this pairs race alternates starting points between Champoluc and Gressoney-La-Trinité, offering unique challenges and spectacular changes in terrain. This event has attracted top names in the world of ski mountaineering over the years.
Monte Rosa SkyMarathon
