From Saint Jacques, an easy farm road leads into the Nanaz valley, a small side valley made famous by the passage of the Aosta Valley's Alta Via 1. The ascent has a modest gradient, which makes the route pleasant and meditative, where one can allow oneself the luxury of admiring every detail of the surrounding nature. Along the route, the environment is fairy-tale, we pass through a beautiful forest of fir and larch trees, pastures and large clearings, until we reach the Alpe di Nanaz, where the valley opens up and the spectacle of Monte Rosa and its glaciers satisfies the eye.
