The Cimalegna via ferrata can be reached with the ski lifts from Alagna. The cable car will take you up to Pianalunga, at an altitude of 2,046 metres. From here it will be necessary to continue on foot, up to the Bocchetta delle Pisse, where the actual route begins.
It is a cross between hiking and mountaineering, also suitable for the little ones. However, to travel it, you always need to have the right equipment and experience. Sharp ridges, vertical walls and a suspended Tibetan bridge are the most exciting features of this splendid itinerary. Above all, the Monte Rosa massif dominates which, during the ascent, you can observe in all its majesty!
The overall development is about 800 meters, with an elevation difference of about 300 meters. The degree of difficulty is high if you follow the path, medium along the blue one. The recommended time of year to tackle it is from May to October.
