The resort of Challant Saint Victor is surrounded by chestnut and walnut woods, is located at 765 meters above sea level and has a mild climate all year round.
This village was among the first possessions of the noble Challant family, whose historical events are firmly linked to those of the Aosta Valley and for this reason it is easy to observe ruins and ruins of a bygone era such as those of the Castle of Villa that show what remains of a fortress of 1300.
Not far from the castle you can admire Lake Villa and its natural reserve characterized by a mix of alpine and marsh vegetation. Do not miss the Challand Art path near the Villa Reserve: it winds along a path that connects the lake to the Arlaz hill, along a beautiful forest interspersed with open and panoramic areas suitable for the whole family. Along the path you will encounter unique works of art made with natural materials: earth, leaves, wood, stones, iron.
Challand-Saint-Victor is also home to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Aosta Valley, the waterfall of Isollaz in which the stream Evançon, falling quickly, creates a striking sound and visual effect.
