Climbing in the Gressoney Valley

Climbing walls await you

By: Gressoney Monterosa

arrampicata

Mountain climbing is one of the most exciting and challenging outdoor activities you can do. It requires good physical fitness, knowledge of basic climbing techniques, and strong mental determination.

Challenge yourself and increase your climbing skills at natural crags. All along the Gressoney Valley you can find natural and artificial climbing areas and climbing centers with routes at varying degrees of difficulty. Vie Ferrate are a real hit with first-time climbers on safe climbing sites that can be climbed by virtually anyone.

While climbing, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, breathe fresh air, and feel the adrenaline coursing through your veins as you tackle high rock faces. This sport, like mountain climbing, also offers the opportunity to learn to better respect and understand nature and to develop greater awareness of oneself and one's limits. Climbers must be alert to every movement and constantly assess their safety, using specific equipment such as ropes, carabiners, harnesses, and helmets. For this reason, it is important that climbers use the right safety equipment and always have adequate physical and mental preparation, relying on our guides for any advice or organized days.
