Monterosa Ski
A secret to be discovered
SUMMER
Monte Rosa attracts mountaineers from all over the world during the summer season: the high-altitude refuges offer refreshment to those who decide to follow the numerous itineraries and support to better organize the ascents to the peaks, a good fifteen over 4.000 metres.
The lifts that lead to Colle della Bettaforca from Ayas and Gressoney allow you to reach the famous Quintino Sella al Felik refuge, while the lifts that lead from Stafal and Alagna to the Indren glacier facilitate the ascent to the famous Mantova and Gnifetti refuges and to Capanna Margherita, the goal that many aspire to.
At the openings foreseen in the summer calendar, Monterosa Ski offers a series of unmissable spring appointments, which allow mountaineers to travel the glacier making full use of it in all seasons.
But summer also means mountain biking! The systems operating in the summer, both in the main carousel and in the resort stations, are equipped for the transport of bicycles. Monterosa Ski, in collaboration with professionals in the sector operating in the area, offers a map that contains the most suggestive routes for lovers of two wheels and unspoiled nature. The paper version is available at all ticket offices in the area.
Trekking is one of the most attractive activities, and the numerous and evocative routes that crisscross the Monte Rosa valleys are suitable for hikers of all types and experience. The Monterosa Ski trekking tour packages are designed to offer the discovery of the most beautiful corners of the area. The Tour des Six, Monterosa Randò and the Sentieri del Lys are just some of the proposals.
WINTER
Monterosa Ski is a secret to discover. We are in the heart of the Italian Alps, at the foot of Monte Rosa, the second highest massif in Europe. Monterosa Ski includes a main area "three valleys with skis on" and five independent and nearby stations, small pearls of the skiable domain.
The ski resort is divided between Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta, reaching a height of 3.275 meters, between the territories of Alagna Valsesia, Gressoney-La-Trinité and Champoluc. The small stations instead offer in each of the four valleys, skiing and snow activities at lower altitudes, and are therefore particularly suitable for families, beginners and for days of light and carefree skiing.
The possibilities on the slopes range from the "baptism of skiing" to challenging and thrilling descents, to be covered on kilometers of perfectly groomed routes, with a vertical development that exceeds 2.000 metres. Breathtaking views, efficient lifts and suggestive descents guarantee fun for everyone and a pinch of adrenaline for the more daring.
Not to be missed? The two Fun Slopes Bettaforca and Alpe di Mera, the Gabiet Snowpark in Gressoney-La-Trinitè , the ski mountaineering routes, the night descents on the Leonardo David Special international slope and the Monterosa Freeride Paradise, the realm of off-piste, untouched snow and of adrenaline to experience on the edges.
Monterosa Ski is close to the main cities of northern Italy: a few hours to enjoy a dream leaving by car from Milan, Turin and Genoa, or arriving from the airports of Malpensa, Linate, Turin and Orio al Serio.
