After reaching the locality of Pian Coumarial, take trail number 3 that enters the larch and beech forest to Alpe Vercosa.

Continue on the flat path and cross the bridge over the Gouglias stream, from there the slope increases until you reach a crossroads downstream of the Serrafredda alp. Keep right and you will reach the Carisey pasture and then reach the pass of the same name, recognizable by its cross. Keep to the left and you will reach Rifugio Coda, the destination of this itinerary.
