A loop trek through forests and lakes.
Leaving the car at the Pian Coumarial parking lot, start the ascent by following the signs to the Barma refuge via trail number 2D. The first section is through the forest, then opens into meadows with classic alpine pastures. Just above Lake Vargno keep to the right, following the signs to the refuge. The path, not very exposed and equipped with ropes and metal handholds, skirts Mont Mars and leaves the dam on your left. Continuing, you reach the beautiful lakes basin including Lè Lounc and Lé di Barma (2020 m) and then arrive at the Barma hut, the intermediate stage of our trek.
Retrace your steps to the Lé Lounc lake and, keeping to the right, cross a glacial step characterized by scree until you meet the inter-pasture road. From here follow the trail until reaching Pian Coumarial again.
