Thanks to the intense work of the teams and the investments made by Monterosa 2000 S.p.A in the years 2023 to 2024 to complete the Alpe di Mera snowmaking system, from Saturday 25 January 2025 the M19 Mera-Scopello slope will be open to the public .
The descent will add another 2km to the tracks available to skiers, will allow them to return to the town on skis, and will allow a single electrifying ski run of around 6km and 1000 meters of altitude difference, from Cima Camparient, at an altitude of 1737 metres, up to Scopello .
The last official opening dates back to the 2015/2016 winter season.

Although the slope is officially classified as red, depending on the current snow conditions and the presence of exposed edges, until further notice from Monterosa 2000 S.p.A, it will be considered black. Therefore, the descent is reserved for expert skiers.
To celebrate the event, the Pro Loco Alpe di Mera and Scopello will set up a refreshment point on the day at Pian Rastò, at the start of the slope, with hot drinks, biscuits and gadgets from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The Manera Country Pub will instead propose ending the day with a special après-ski from 4.30pm to 6.00pm.
