Round Tour with Tokji

It is a fun circular itinerary dedicated to little explorers of Monte Rosa and their companions.

By: Monterosa Ski

Giro tondo di Tokji

The route begins in Pianalunga, right at the arrival of the gondola that leaves from Alagna, and immerses you in the magical world of Tokji and his friends. It is about 1.5 km long and can be traveled on both on foot and by mountain bike. Tokji will always be with you and will give you all the information to follow him!

It is a fun circular itinerary dedicated to little explorers of Monte Rosa and their companions. Seven panels have been positioned along the ring, to guide and explain the characteristics and inhabitants of the environment in which you find yourself, suitable for children!

Thus you will meet Tokji's friends, including marmots, ibex and cows. You will learn the name of the peaks that you can admire from the panoramic points and you will discover how much life there is in the stream that crosses the route. You will meet games, thematic points, refreshment areas but above all nature and you will rediscover all the sensations that Monte Rosa offers.

A unique and healthy experience to share with the whole family!

But who is Tokji?

It is said that since ancient times a mischievous elf named Tokji has roamed the village of Alagna.

The little creature has the ability to become invisible and to make even the objects it leans on invisible. He's a prankster who enjoys hiding the things we need and making them reappear when we least expect it. Today our crafty friend rarely wanders around the village because he prefers to be in the mountains in the open air. He has found allies in his animal friends to make mischief! Will you be able to find all the games and the seven panels that he likes to hide?

To reach Tokji you need a ticket to get to Pianalunga. Ask at the Alagna ticket office together with the route map!

*Giro-Tondo con Tokji is not accessible with wheelchairs and baby strollers. Route set up from 14 June to 14 September 2025.
