A few minutes' walk from Blanchard and Saint Jacques, clearly visible from the valley floor, stands an early 20th-century white building, the facade of which still bears the inscription "Albergo Pensione Bellavista." It was here, between 1906 and 1907, that the poet Guido Gozzano stayed, and it was also where the Frassati family used to spend their vacations. Next to the massive building of the boarding house are a small church and a rascard that, together with the hotel, make up the village of Fiery, a settlement nestled in the green firs and larches of the Beau Bois.
