Dreaming of exploring the stunning valleys of Monterosa during the summer season while enjoying the comfort of ski lifts? Monterosa Ski is pleased to announce the opening of the summer season starting from June 1st.
The first lifts to inaugurate the summer season will be those along the Staffal-Passo dei Salati-Punta Indren route in the Gressoney Valley. These lifts will allow ascents to the peaks of Monte Rosa and access to high-altitude refuges. Additionally, from Alagna in Valsesia, you can reach the Indren glacier at an altitude of 3.275 meters.
Starting from June 21st, Monterosa Ski will open the Staffal-Sant’Anna cable car and the Sant’Anna-Colle Betta chairlift, making the journey to the Quintino Sella Refuge easier. The following day, June 22nd, summer in the Ayas Valley will begin with the opening of the Frachey-Alpe Ciarcerio funicular and the Champoluc-Crest gondola, which will offer continuous service, including evening runs.
In Gressoney-Saint-Jean, during the weekend of June 22nd and 23rd, the Weissmatten chairlift will open for the Beer Festival. Additionally, during the same weekend, the Alpe di Mera will also inaugurate the summer season. The Valsesian station will continue its service on June 29-30, July 6/7, July 13-14, and then daily from July 20th.
During the weekends in July and subsequently every day from August 1st, you can enjoy the chairlifts of Jolanda in Gressoney-La-Trinité, Weissmatten in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, Palasinaz in Brusson, Alpe Mandria and Bettaforca in Frachey, and the Chardonney-Laris gondola in Champorcher. Additionally, in Champoluc, the Crest-Alpe Ostafa gondola will be open on the weekend of July 6/7 and daily from the 13th of the same month.
The tickets offered by Monterosa Ski are designed to make the experience even more enjoyable, offering various options such as tickets for individual sections or cumulative passes for multiple lift segments. And if you change your mind once at altitude, no problem! You can purchase tickets for subsequent sections directly at the departure of the lift.
For mountaineering enthusiasts, Monterosa Ski offers the opportunity to organize ascents to the peaks of Monte Rosa, with overnight stays in high-altitude refuges or starting at dawn and descending at sunset.
And it doesn't end there! With the 3 Valli ticket, you can enjoy breakfast in Champoluc, lunch in Alagna, and a coffee break in Stafal before returning. All this with a walk of just 30 minutes between the Mandria and Bettaforca lifts.
Finally, to make the experience accessible to everyone, Monterosa Ski offers reduced rates for children and free entry for children born after October 31, 2015, with the simultaneous purchase of an adult ticket.
In short, Monterosa and its valleys are ready to welcome you for a summer full of adventure and unspoiled nature. What are you waiting for? Pack your backpack or grab your mountain bike, saddle up, and get ready for a unique experience!
