The Ultra Tour Monte Rosa is a race along the wonderful trails of the Tour du Mont Rose, between Switzerland and the Aosta Valley. The race route leads anti-clockwise around the Monte Rosa massif, which, with its 4634 metres, is the second highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe.
The Ultra Tour Monte Rosa consists of 170 km as a single race or as a four-day stage race of 37, 43, 46 and 44 km. The complete tour is an alternative to the UTMB, albeit more technical and on wilder paths.
The athletes will arrive at the finish line of the second stage in Gressoney-La-Trinité on 5th September, from where they will leave on the morning of 6th September for Macugnaga.
