Valle di Gressoney

Gressoney is a charming resort in the Alps at the foot of Monte Rosa, and is situated in one of the mountain valleys best reached from the larger towns in north-eastern Italy.
Being in Valle d'Aosta, it is also well served by the Mont Blanc tunnel and the Gran San Bernardo tunnel for those arriving from France and Switzerland, but also from western Europe and northern Europe in general.

Getting to Gressoney is very easy!
Turin-Aosta railway line with change in Ivrea or Chivasso.
Railway line Milan-Aosta with change in Turin, Ivrea, or Chivasso.
Stop in Pont-Saint-Martin station.
Final destination served by the local bus connections indicated below.
From Milan Lampugnano to Courmayeur, stopping in Pont Saint Martin on the Arriva auotoline.
The Gressoney Valley can be reached by bus from Pont Saint Martin, from the railway station or from Piazza IV Novembre in the town centre, if you are coming from Milan, Turin or Aosta.
From the A4 Milan - Turin turn onto the A5 towards Aosta - exit Pont Saint Martin - Drive along the SR44 for 37km to Gressoney Saint Jean.
If you hire a car to come to Gressoney in the winter season remember:
- To have chains and snow tyres on board, they are compulsory!
- To check that the fuel is Alpine or Arctic, otherwise it will freeze.
- In the event of snowfall, the road is kept constantly clear but frost is always lurking, so remember to drive carefully.
