A former royal hunting lodge, the Dondena refuge is located in a splendid position in the green basin of Dondena, on the edge of the Mont Avic natural park and the Gran Paradiso national park.
In the summer it is easily accessible, just 15 minutes on foot from the car park. In winter, on the other hand, it is necessary to cover an off-piste stretch on skis or a walk of about 1h30, on foot or with snowshoes.
