Mark your calendars: the summer season at Monterosa Ski officially opens on May 30, 2026.
The first lifts to start the summer will be on the Staffal–Passo dei Salati–Punta Indren route in the Gressoney Valley, with daily connections from Alagna Valsesia up to the Indren Glacier at 3,275 m. A perfect starting point to reach the peaks of Monte Rosa and the mountain huts for a first-class alpine experience.
Progressive lift openings
- Weekends of June 6–7 and June 13–14, and from June 19, the Staffal–Sant’Anna cable car and Sant’Anna–Colle Betta chairlift will be open, allowing easy access to Rifugio Quintino Sella.
- From June 20, the Frachey–Alpe Ciarcerio funicular and Champoluc–Crest gondola will start, with continuous service including evening runs, officially starting summer in the Ayas Valley.
- On June 27–28, the Weissmatten chairlift in Gressoney-Saint-Jean will open for the Beer Festival.
During July weekends and daily from August 1, the following lifts will operate:
- Weissmatten chairlift (Gressoney-Saint-Jean) July: from Thursday to Sunday and 1st to 30th August: every day
- Estoul–Palasinaz chairlift (Brusson)
- Alpe Mandria and Bettaforca chairlifts (Frachey)
In Champoluc, the Crest–Alpe Ostafa gondola will be open the weekend of July 4–5 and daily from July 11.
Closures for summer maintenance
The Jolanda chairlift (Gressoney-La-Trinité), Scopello–Mera (Alpe di Mera) and Chardonney–Laris gondola (Champorcher) will remain closed and will reopen for the 2026/2027 winter season.
Tickets and services
Tickets are designed to suit every need: single rides or combined passes, also available for purchase directly at the departure point for subsequent sections.
For mountaineering enthusiasts, Monterosa Ski offers ascents to Monte Rosa peaks, with overnight stays in huts.
With the Tre Valli ticket, you can experience the entire Ayas Valley, the Gressoney Valley, and Valsesia in a single day, stress-free and with maximum freedom of choice. You can have breakfast in Champoluc, lunch in Alagna, and enjoy a coffee in Staffal.
Reduced rates are available for young people, and free entry is offered for children born after October 31, 2017, if accompanied by a paying adult.
